Khushbu Patel, O.D.

Dr. Khushbu Patel earned her undergraduate degree from the University of California, Davis before receiving her Doctor of Optometry degree in 2021. She went on to complete a residency at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Springfield, where she received advanced training in the diagnosis and management of ocular disease as well as minor ophthalmic procedures, including the removal of eyelid lesions.

Following residency, Dr. Patel practiced in both private practice and corporate optometry settings in Arkansas and Missouri. During her time in private practice, she further expanded her clinical experience to include YAG laser procedures.

Dr. Patel provides comprehensive eye care to patients of all ages and has a special interest in the diagnosis and management of ocular disease. Her areas of interest include glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and a wide range of other ocular conditions. She enjoys caring for patients with both routine vision needs and more complex eye conditions and believes in providing individualized care based on each patient’s needs.

Dr. Patel believes that excellent eye care goes beyond treating a diagnosis. She takes the time to listen to her patients, explain their eye health in a way that is easy to understand, and make sure they feel comfortable asking questions. She values building lasting relationships with her patients and wants each person to leave their visit feeling heard, informed, and confident about their care.

Outside of the office, Dr. Patel’s favorite role is being a mom. She loves spending time with her daughter and family, whether they are exploring outdoors, going on a hike, or simply enjoying time together.
