Dr. Joshua Dudek earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Southern Indiana in 2019 before graduating near the top of his class from the University of Missouri–St. Louis College of Optometry in 2024.
During optometry school, he completed externships in community health, VA medicine, specialty eye care, and Native health systems, gaining advanced experience in comprehensive eye care, ocular disease management, contact lenses, and dry eye treatment. His academic and clinical accomplishments were recognized with several honors, including the Missouri Optometric Foundation Clinical Optometry Award and the American Academy of Optometry Award of Excellence in Contact Lens Patient Care. Since graduation, he has practiced in rural Central Illinois, with professional interests focused on ocular disease, contact lenses, and dry eye disease.
Originally from Marion, Illinois, Dr. Dudek is excited to return to Southern Illinois and serve patients in the Harrisburg, Eldorado, and Carmi communities. Known for his friendly, approachable personality and commitment to patient education, he strives to make every visit comfortable, informative, and personalized while helping patients maintain lifelong vision and eye health.
