If you are interested in some easy, delicious ways to keep your eyes healthy, read on!

Foods with vitamin E

Vitamin E is an important vitamin for healthy cells, and that includes cells in the eyes. Getting enough vitamin E can help to prevent cataracts and can also help patients who have macular degeneration. Vitamin E is abundant in yummy foods like avocados and peanut butter, and it is also in almonds and sunflower seeds.

Foods with vitamin A

Carrots, sweet potatoes, and other fruits and vegetables that are brightly colored are a great way to get vitamin A. Vitamin A is important for retina health and night vision, and can also help patients with dry eyes.

Foods with vitamin C

Vitamin C can be found in many different foods. You are getting a good dose of vitamin C if you enjoy sweet potatoes, tangerines, oranges, grapefruit, lemons, red bell peppers, strawberries, tomatoes, and peaches (to get the most benefit out of these foods, eat them raw instead of cooking them). Vitamin C helps to protect the eyes from the damage that unhealthy habits, the sun, and environmental factors can do. It may also help to prevent cataracts.

Leafy green veggies

Leafy green veggies are known to have all kinds of health benefits! They are high in lutein and zeaxanthin, antioxidants that help us to have clear vision by keeping the macula healthy. They also lower the risk of getting some eye diseases. These antioxidants can be found in kale, spinach, and romaine lettuce, and they can also be found in broccoli, peas, and eggs.

Eating some delicious, nutritious food is an easy way to help your eyes stay healthy.
