Victoria Willingham, Doctor of Optometry
Dr. Willingham had a private practice in Sparta, IL for 25 years. She sold the practice and moved to Edwardsville in order for her daughters to receive improved educational opportunities. She studied at Murray State University in Murray, KY, earning a Bachelors’ of Science degree in Biological Sciences. She went on to receive her Doctorate of Optometry from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN. Dr. Willingham was an adjunct professor for the Southern College of Optometry for 10 years. She now works at our Sterling office. She is the two-time president and first woman president of the Rotary Club in Sparta. She is also a board member of the YMCA (where she has taught aerobics for 23 years), and the TLC (Therapy Center of Southern & Central Illinois). She has served on the Sparta Hospital Board for 5 years, the Sparta Humane Society Board for 2 years, and as the Sparta High School Band Assistant for 5 years. She is also a member of the First United Methodist Church. Dr. Willingham and her family loves animals and now have 4 cats, 1 dog, and a mallard duck who thinks he’s the boss of the house – he wears a duck diaper in the house. They love music. Her husband, Neil, and two daughters, Avonlea and Mariah, play the trumpet. Dr. Willingham plays oboe & piano. They also love drum & bugle corps competition & used to be involved with several groups.
